Create the first backup¶
- Download and install Backup Teamleader from GitHub Releases or Microsoft Store.
- Open the application and enter credentials if requested.
- Select a destination folder. In a new installation, the application proposes
C:\backup_teamleader. - Click Run backup and wait for the final state.
- Follow the guide to review the generated files.
Safe test
Use an empty, easy-to-identify folder. This way you can identify which files belong to the run and repeat the test without mixing previous results.
Choose the right path¶
| Need | Recommended path |
|---|---|
| Install the application | Install Backup Teamleader |
| Create and verify a backup | Create a backup |
| Understand each option | Configure backup |
| Automate a run | Use Backup Teamleader from the console |
| Fix a failure | Troubleshoot |
What the backup generates¶
The main backup saves one .encrypted file per entity in the destination folder. The interface also allows converting these files to JSON. Although the control appears as Export to Excel, the current implementation generates .json files, not .xlsx workbooks.
Support¶
Before requesting help, keep the complete error message, the execution time and the available log, but remove credentials, tokens and personal data. First check the troubleshooting table.
